Kenny Selmon
Kenneth Selmon (born August 27, 1996) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 400 metres hurdles. He won the USA Outdoor Championship in 2018 and represented his country at the 2018 Athletics World Cup in London, where he won the 400 metres hurdles. Early life Selmon attended high school at Pace Academy in Atlanta, GA. He was a 7-time GHSA state champion in track and field and 3-time all-american in the 400 metres hurdles. While in high school, Selmon placed third at the 2013 World Youth Championships in the 400mH and won the 2014 National Championship. Collegiate career Selmon attended the University of North Carolina where he competed in indoor and outdoor track and field. While at UNC, Selmon won two ACC Championships in the 400 metres hurdles and placed 4th, 3rd, and 2nd in the NCAA Division I National Championships in the 400mH in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Mableton
Mableton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. According to the 2020 census, Mableton has a population of 40,834. Upon Brookhaven's cityhood in December 2012, Mableton became the largest unincorporated CDP in Metro Atlanta. On November 8, 2022, following the 2022 midterm elections, a referendum on cityhood was passed. It is set to become the largest city in Cobb County in terms of population. History Between the 16th and 19th centuries, most of the land in present-day southern Cobb County belonged to the Cherokee and Creek. Two indigenous villages were established near the area that will later become known as Mableton - the settlements of Sweet Water Town and Nickajack. The USATF U20 Outdoor Championships, formerly known as the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships, is an annual outdoor track and field competition organized by USA Track & Field (USATF) which serves as the national championship for American athletes aged under 20. The competition is also used for American national team selection for the IAAF World U20 Championships in even-numbered years and the Pan American U20 Athletics Championships in odd-numbered years. The event was established in 1972 and were originally organized by the Amateur Athletic Union.
