Kenneth Kipkemoi
Kenneth Kiprop Kipkemoi (born 2 August 1984) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in the 10,000 metres, the half marathon, and the marathon. He was the 2012 African champion in the 10,000 m, has a half marathon best of 59:11 minutes, and was the winner of the 2018 Rotterdam Marathon with a personal best of 2:05:44. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and racewalking. Prague Half Marathon
The Prague Half Marathon (known as the Sportisimo Prague Half Marathon for sponsorship reasons) is an annual half marathon road running event which takes place in Spring on the city streets of Prague, Czech Republic, first held in 1999. It is managed by the same organisation that holds the Prague Marathon in May. The race has a loop course, starting and ending in Jan Palach Square near the Rudolfinum, and largely follows the Vltava river. The competition has enjoyed an increasing level of participation, with around 6500 participants in 2009 and almost 8500 runners taking part in the 2010 event. The men's 10,000 metres at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics were held at the Luzhniki Stadium on 10 August. With the temperature at the start of the race over 27º the competitors were taking heat precautions. Olympic Champion Mo Farah dropped to last place in the early stages, later there occasions when he would go to the front of the pack, though he made no effort to quicken the pace from the lead. With the lead pack down to about 10, with a kilometer to go, American Dathan Ritzenhein charged around the pack and into the lead. That woke up the rest of the contenders, quickly swallowing up Ritzenhein's effort. After some jockeying by a host of contenders, Farah seized the lead just before the last lap. The Berlin Half Marathon is a major endurance event held annually in early spring in Berlin, Germany. Besides the runner's main race, the event includes a race for inline skaters, wheelchair athletes and handbikers. The World's Best 10K (WB10K) is a road race of 10 kilometers celebrated in San Juan, Puerto Rico every year. It is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Road Races (AIMS) and by the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF). WB10K was ranked among the 20 most competitive races in the world. In 2003, Paula Radcliffe of England completed the course in a world record time of 30 minutes 21 seconds. The men's race at the 2010 edition, won by Rigoberto Gaetán, had six runners break the 28 minute mark. Lornah Kiplagat has been the race's most successful competitor as she has won the women's race on six occasions.
