Kenneth Earl Smith (born February 12, 1958) is a former major league baseball player who served as a reserve first baseman for the Atlanta Braves between 1981 and 1983. Smith was born in Youngstown, Ohio, where he gained early recognition as a star athlete at the city's East High School. Kenny Smith is an American guitarist and vocalist in the bluegrass tradition. Biography Early years Smith is originally from Nine Mile, Indiana. His father and grandfather played fiddle, and Smith started playing guitar at age 4. He learned to play fiddle tunes on the guitar by listening to Norman Blake's albums. Lonesome River Band Smith began playing professionally with Claire Lynch and the Front Porch Stringband in 1993. In 1996, Smith joined Sammy Shelor, Don Rigsby, and Ronnie Bowman as a member of The Lonesome River Band, replacing Tim Austin. While a part of this group, Smith won the International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) Guitarist of the Year award in 1999 and 2000. He left the band in 2001. ''The Vagabond Lover'' is a 1929 American pre-Code black-and-white musical comedy-drama film about a small-town boy who finds fame and romance when he joins a dance band. The film was directed by Marshall Neilan and is based on the novel of the same name written by James Ashmore Creelman, who also wrote the screenplay. Kenneth Smith (born 1972 or 1973) is a Scottish white nationalist who has held senior roles in the British National Party and Patriotic Alternative and who founded the Homeland Party. He has worked as a part-time sports coach and in the tourism industry in the Isle of Skye. Politics and views Smith is a far-right activist who wants the United Kingdom to be an " ethnostate."
