Ken McKenzie (rugby League)
Kenneth John McKenzie (1926-1998) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. McKenzie was later an Administrator at the St. George Dragons. Playing career McKenzie joined St. George soon after his discharge from the Australian Army in 1946. He went on to play 95 games for Saints in all grades, was captain of Reserve Grade for many years and actually captained the First Grade team on 25 April 1952 in a game against Parramatta. He retired from football in 1952 after suffering recurring knee cartilage problems. Administrative career Upon retirement from playing, Ken McKenzie (who had a background in accountancy) became the club's Auditor and well as being selected on the club Committee. Lawson, New South Wales
Lawson is a town in the Blue Mountains area of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the Great Western Highway between Hazelbrook in the east and Bullaburra in the west. Lawson has a station on the Main Western line. Sutherland is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium (formerly Cumberland Oval). As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium. Baden Powell Wales (1900–1968) was an Australian rugby league administrator with the St. George District Rugby League Football Club during its foundation years until his death. Birth Born Frederick Charles Sunderland Baden Powell Wales on 17 May 1900 in Brewarrina, New South Wales, Baden Wales was am major contributor to the St. George Rugby League club during his lifetime. Frank Facer
Francis Henry Facer (8 August 1919 – 16 January 1978) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s at North Sydney and St George. After he retired from playing, he became a noted sports administrator at St George from 1956 until 1978. There he was instrumental in finding and bringing to the club many future stars and played a pivotal role in building a club structure that supported a sustained record of success. Playing career North Sydney Born and bred in Naremburn, New South Wales to parents Albert and Violet Facer, Frank Facer became a first grade rugby league player in Sydney. Facer was graded at Norths in 1938, and went on to play over 130 games in all graded for Norths.
