Baden Powell Wales (1900–1968) was an Australian rugby league administrator with the St. George District Rugby League Football Club during its foundation years until his death. Birth Born Frederick Charles Sunderland Baden Powell Wales on 17 May 1900 in Brewarrina, New South Wales, Baden Wales was am major contributor to the St. George Rugby League club during his lifetime. Career Baden Wales had a service record in Rugby League going back well before St. George were born beginning in 1921. He was a player, a Referee and an Administrator. Wales worked for rugby league for 46 years, beginning as a player - and club secretary - with Arncliffe Waratahs in 1916. He was prominent in the St George Junior League serving as secretary from 1921 to 1927 and President from 1929 to 1931. He was a foundation committee member at St George Rugby League in 1921, a first grade NSWRFL referee from 1927 to 1933 and was elected president of the NSWRFL Referee's Association in 1931. Brewarrina (pronounced 'bree-warren-ah'; locally known as "Bre") is a town in north-west New South Wales, Australia on the banks of the Barwon River (New South Wales), Barwon River in Brewarrina Shire. Arncliffe is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Arthur Justice
Arthur "Snowy" Justice (1902–1977) was an Australian rugby league footballer, coach and administrator. He was a rugged for the St George Dragons who made state and national representative appearances in the late 1920s. Later he was a club administrator, national selector and league judiciary chairman. Club career A pioneer player with the St George Dragons, he made his first grade debut in the club's second season in the NSWRFL. He captained the club in their maiden (and unsuccessful) Grand final appearance in season 1930 against the Western Suburbs Magpies. This was the first ever Grand Final played to determine the premiership winner. In season 1932 when his Kangaroo tourist partner Harry Kadwell was captain-coach at St George, Justice took over the captaincy when Kadwell's season was ended with a broken leg. Ken McKenzie (rugby League)
Kenneth John McKenzie (1926-1998) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. McKenzie was later an Administrator at the St. George Dragons. Playing career McKenzie joined St. George soon after his discharge from the Australian Army in 1946. He went on to play 95 games for Saints in all grades, was captain of Reserve Grade for many years and actually captained the First Grade team on 25 April 1952 in a game against Parramatta. He retired from football in 1952 after suffering recurring knee cartilage problems. Administrative career Upon retirement from playing, Ken McKenzie (who had a background in accountancy) became the club's Auditor and well as being selected on the club Committee.
