Kelvin Harrap
Kelvin Harrap (born 1970) is a New Zealand sailor who has represented his country at the Summer Olympics and sailed in multiple America's Cups and Volvo Ocean Races. Harrap was born 1970 in Napier, New Zealand. He sailed the 1993–94 Whitbread Round the World Race as part of the crew on Chris Dickson's ''Tokio'' before joining his Tag Heuer Challenge team at the 1995 Louis Vuitton Cup. Harrap represented New Zealand at the 1996 Summer Olympics, sailing a Soling with Sean Clarkson and Jamie Gale. The team finished 14th in the fleet race competition. Harrap again joined Dickson for the 1997–98 Whitbread Round the World Race, this time on '' Toshiba''. He then joined the America True syndicate for the 2000 Louis Vuitton Cup. He was then part of the One World Challenge for the 2003 Louis Vuitton Cup before joining Team New Zealand for the 2007 America's Cup. The sport of sailing involves a variety of competitive sailing formats that are sanctioned through various sailing federations and yacht clubs. Racing disciplines include matches within a fleet of sailing craft, between a pair thereof or among teams. Additionally, there are specialized competitions that include setting speed records. 2003 Louis Vuitton Cup
The 6th Louis Vuitton Cup was held in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2003. The winner, Alinghi, went on to challenge for and win the 2003 America's Cup. The teams The Yacht Club Punta Ala was the challenger of record. 2015 Sydney To Hobart Yacht Race
The 2015 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, sponsored by Rolex and hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia in Sydney, New South Wales, was the 71st annual running of the "blue water classic." The 2015 edition began on Sydney Harbour at 1pm on Boxing Day (26 December 2015), before heading south for through the Tasman Sea, past Bass Strait, into Storm Bay and up the River Derwent, to cross the finish line in Hobart, Tasmania. James Spithill
James Spithill (born 28 June 1979) is an Australian yachtsman. In 2010, as skipper and helmsman for BMW Oracle Racing, Spithill won the America's Cup. He defended the cup twice, both times against Emirates Team New Zealand, first successfully in 2013, when Oracle Team USA came back from a −2 penalty score at the start to win 9–8 on the final race; and unsuccessfully in the 2017 America's Cup held in Bermuda. In 2017, Spithill skippered LDV Comanche to win Line Honours in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. This win came after winning their protest against Wild Oats. Warwick Fleury
Warwick David Fleury is a New Zealand sailor who has competed in eight America's Cups. He competed with New Zealand Challenge in the 1987, 1988 and 1992 America's Cup campaigns. Fleury was a trimmer with Team New Zealand during their successful 1995 America's Cup campaign and 2000 America's Cup defence. Fleury joined Alinghi and was part of their 2003 America's Cup victory, 2007 America's Cup defence and 2010 America's Cup loss. In 2010 he was inducted into the America's Cup Hall of Fame.
