Kelab Aman is a cricket ground near Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The first recorded match on the ground came in 1995 when Malaysia played Thailand in the Tuanku Ja'afar Cup. In 1997, the ground held ten matches in the ICC Trophy. The following year it held five List A matches as part of the cricket competition at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Jalan Ampang
Jalan Ampang or Ampang Road (Selangor state route B31) is a major road in Klang Valley region, Selangor and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Built in the 1880s, it is one of the oldest roads in the Klang Valley. The Barbados national cricket team is the national cricket team of Barbados, organised by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA). Cricket At The 1998 Commonwealth Games
Cricket was included in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Malaysia. This was the only time cricket was played at a Commonwealth Games until a women's tournament was included in the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Matches were played over 50 overs, and had List A status rather than full One Day Internationals. As is normal at the multisports events, the Caribbean islands that entered participated as separate nations, not as the combined West Indies team. Indeed, the Games were the first occasion on which an Antigua and Barbuda side competed at a senior level. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. 1997 ICC Trophy
The Carlsberg Group, Carlsberg 1997 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between 24 March and 13 April 1997. It was the Cricket World Cup qualification tournament for the 1999 Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh national cricket team, Bangladesh were the winners of the tournament, defeating Kenya national cricket team, Kenya in the final, while Scotland national cricket team, Scotland won the third place play-off. These three teams took the three available spots in the World Cup, Bangladesh and Scotland both qualifying for this tournament for the first time. With some World Cup matches scheduled in Scotland and the Netherlands, Scotland would become the first Associate nation to play a home fixture in a World Cup.
