Keith Raymond
Keith Raymond (born 1987) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-back for the Sligo senior team. Born in Sligo, Raymond first played competitive hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Calry/St. Joseph's club. He later joined the club's senior team and has experienced much success, including four Connacht medals. Raymond has also won eleven county championship medals. Raymond was just fifteen years old when he made his debut with the Sligo senior team during the 2003 league. He subsequently became a regular member of the team and has won one Nicky Rackard Cup medal and two National Hurling League medals in different divisions. 2018 Lory Meagher Cup
The 2018 Lory Meagher Cup was the 10th staging of the Lory Meagher Cup, the Gaelic Athletic Association's fifth tier inter-county hurling championship. The draw for the 2018 fixtures took place on 25 October 2017. The cup begun on 19 May 2018 and ended on 23 June 2018 with Sligo beating Lancashire at Croke Park. Connacht Inter-provincial Hurlers
Connacht ( ; ga, Connachta or ), is one of the provinces of Ireland, in the west of Ireland. Until the ninth century it consisted of several independent major Gaelic kingdoms (Uí Fiachrach, Uí Briúin, Uí Maine, Conmhaícne, and Delbhna). 2009 National Hurling League
The 2009 National Hurling League (known as the Allianz National Hurling League for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th season of the National Hurling League. Structure The National Hurling League saw a major restructuring of the usual four divisions with the teams divided more equitably into a five-tier structure. Division 1 was a single division and was confined to the top eight teams. The top two teams in the division qualified for the final. Division 2 operated in a similar manner. Division 3A was a newly created division and consisted of six teams. The top two teams in the division qualified for the final. 2008 Nicky Rackard Cup
The 2008 Nicky Rackard Cup was the 4th annual third tier hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Sligo beat Louth in the final. Lory Meagher Cup
The Lory Meagher Cup (; often referred to as the Meagher Cup) is the fifth-highest inter-county senior championship in hurling. Each year, the champion team in the Lory Meagher Cup is promoted to the Nicky Rackard Cup. The Lory Meagher Cup, which was introduced for the 2009 season, provides a meaningful championship for fifth tier teams deemed "too weak" for the fourth tier Nicky Rackard Cup. The winners of the championship receive the Lory Meagher Cup, named after former Kilkenny hurler Lory Meagher who many regard as one of the greatest hurlers of all time.
