Keiron Gareth Self (born 1971 in Newport, Wales) is a British actor and writer best known for playing Roger Bailey, Jr. in the BBC sitcom ''My Family''. His other acting credits include ''Casualty'', ''Lucky Bag'' and playing PC Claude Cox in the sitcom '' High Hopes''. He has also provided the voice of Police Chief Llunos in the BBC radio production of ''Aberystwyth Mon Amour''. His writing credits include the 2000 sketch show ''TV To Go'', ''Lucky Bag'', ''The Story of Tracy Beaker'' and the 2001 sketch show ''Velvet Soup''. ''The Story of Tracy Beaker'' is a British children's book first published in 1991, written by Jacqueline Wilson and illustrated by Nick Sharratt. Background The book is told from the point of view of Tracy Beaker, a troubled ten-year-old girl. ''High Hopes'' is a sitcom created by Boyd Clack, written by Clack and Kirsten Jones. Produced and directed by Gareth Gwenlan for BBC Wales, ''High Hopes'' is set in a fictional area of the South Wales Valleys called Cwm-Pen-Ôl (which is Welsh for 'Backside Valley'). It stars Margaret John as widow Elsie Hepplewhite, Robert Blythe as her son Richard Hepplewhite, Steven Meo as Hoffman and Oliver Wood (formerly Ben Evans) as Charlie.
