Keilhaus Topp
Keilhaus topp is a mountain in Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is one of Norway's highest mountains, but is not always included in rankings due to its topographic prominence of only . The tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains within Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about southwest of the village of Fossbergom and about northeast of the village of Øvre Årdal. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Galdhøpiggen (Norway's tallest mountain) to the west, Veslpiggen to the northwest, Galdhøi and Juvvasshøi to the north, Store Styggehøe to the southeast, Midtre Tverråtinden to the south, and Svellnosbreahesten and Store Tverråtinden to the southwest. Name The professor Baltazar Mathias Keilhau, together with two students, tried to reach the top of Galdhøpiggen in 1844 - but he had to stop here because of bad weather. Innlandet
Innlandet is a county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (the municipalities of Jevnaker and Lunner were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the second largest county in Norway after Troms og Finnmark county. The county name translates to "The Inland" which reflects that the county is the only landlocked county in Norway. Øvre Årdal
Øvre Årdal is a village in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is the larger of the two primary villages in Årdal. The village is situated at the northern end of the long lake Årdalsvatnet, with the village of Årdalstangen at the southern end. The village has a population (2019) of 3,117 and a population density of . Farnes Church is located in this village. The road ''Tindevegen'' goes from Øvre Årdal, through the Fardalen valley to the village of Turtagrø in Luster Municipality. It's one of the highest elevation roads in Norway. Fossbergom is the administrative centre of Lom Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located on the south shore of the river Otta, at the north end of the Bøverdal valley.
