Kebumen (town)
Kebumen is a town on the island of Java, Indonesia and is the administrative centre of Kebumen Regency, in Central Java Province. It is also the name of the main town of the district of Kebumen. The population of the town at the 2010 Census was 118,847, while the 2020 Census gave a total of 131,750. Kebumen has other names - "Swallow City", "City Tours", and "the city of culture". Geography Kebumen is located near the Indian Ocean, it is also called Samudera Indonesia. The town is bisected by the Kali Lukulo (Lukulo River). It lies near three major roads, Jalan Pahlawan, Jalan HM. Sarbini and Jalan Ronggowarsito. Its geographic location is . Javanese Script
The Javanese script (natively known as ''Aksara Jawa'', ''Hanacaraka'', ''Carakan'', and ''Dentawyanjana'') is one of Indonesia's traditional scripts developed on the island of Java. The script is primarily used to write the Javanese language, but in the course of its development has also been used to write several other regional languages such as Sundanese, Madurese, and Sasak; the lingua franca of the region, Malay; as well as the historical languages Kawi and Sanskrit. Javanese script was actively used by the Javanese people for writing day-to-day and literary texts from at least the mid-15th century CE until the mid-20th century CE, before its function was gradually supplanted by the Latin alphabet. Melanesians
Melanesians are the predominant and indigenous inhabitants of Melanesia, in a wide area from Indonesia's New Guinea to as far East as the islands of Vanuatu and Fiji. Rustriningsih (born 3 July 1967) is an Indonesian politician who served as the Vice Governor of Central Java between 2008 and 2013. Previously, she served two terms as the regent of Kebumen. She was formerly a member of PDI-P, until she left the party around 2014 following her support for Prabowo Subianto in the 2014 Indonesian presidential election. Early life and education Rustriningsih was born in Kedungampel village of Kebumen, Central Java on 3 July 1967 as the eighth of ten children. Her father Sukamto was a PNI activist during the Sukarno government and, later on, was active in PDI activities. After completing her basic education, she studied in General Soedirman University's faculty of social and political sciences. The ''Jakarta Globe'' is a daily online English-language newspaper in Indonesia, launched in November 2008. The paper initially came out as a print newspaper with an average of 48 pages a day, and published Monday to Saturday. It had three sections, and contained (in section A) a range of general news, including metropolitan and national news coverage as well as international news, plus comment, (in section B) Indonesian and world business and sport plus a classified advertising section, and (in section C) an extensive features and lifestyle coverage as well as entertainment, listings and reader service and puzzle/cartoon pages. The newspaper later added a Sunday Jakarta Globe edition. The newspaper converted from broadsheet to tabloid format in May 2012, and then was published online only from 15 December 2015.
