Kazi Anwar Hossain
Kazi Anwar Hossain ( bn, কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেন; born 2 June 1957) is a retired Bangladeshi football player and coach. Club career Anwar made his Dhaka League debut in 1976 for Abahani Krira Chakra. He soon became a regular face in the starting eleven and scored a goal in the 1977 league deciding match against Rahmatganj MFS, which Abahani won 3–1. With Abahani he won the league title four times during his 8 year-long stay at the club, and also captained them in 1982. After leaving Abahani in 1984, Anwar went on to play for Dhaka Wanderers and Dhanmondi Club before retiring in 1989 while playing for PWD Sports Club. International career After being impressed by the winger during the 1978 AFC Youth Championship, coach Werner Bickelhaupt gave Anwar his international debut in 1979. Federation Cup (Bangladesh)
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. Most of the matches are played in the country's main football venue Bangabandhu National Stadium. The winner of the tournament earn the slot of playing qualifying round of AFC Cup. Pioneer Football League ( ban, পাইওনিয়ার ফুটবল লীগ ), also known as the Bangladesh Pioneer Football League, is an age-level league and also the sixth-tier of Bangladeshi football organised by Bangladesh Football Federation. The semi-finalsits of the competition are promoted to the Dhaka Third Division Football League. As the tournament is considered to be the lowest level of Bangladeshi football, so the number of participants is unlimited as well as any club is able to send an application to participate in the tournament. Hussain Muhammad Ershad ( bn, হুসেইন মুহাম্মদ এরশাদ; 1 February 1930 – 14 July 2019) was a Bangladeshi Army Chief politician who served as the President of Bangladesh from 1983 to 1990, a time many consider to have been a military dictatorship. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Chunnu played for the Bangladesh national football team for 10 years between 1975 and 1985. The left-winger represented Bangladesh in 50 international matches in which he scored 17 official goals during his 10-year long national career. Golam Rabbani Helal was a Bangladesh national footballer and organizer. Career From 1979 to 1985, Helal played for the Bangladesh national football team. He also played for Abahani from 1975 to 1988. He briefly played for the Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation football team, Team BJMC. After retiring from playing he became a director of Abahani.
