Kazem (also spelled Kadhem, Kadhim, Kazim, Qazim or Cathum; written in ar, كاظم, in Persian: کاظِم) means "tolerant", "forgiving", and "having patience" is an Arabic male given name. Kazem Rajavi
Kazem Rajavi ( fa, کاظم رجوی) (8 February 1934 – 24 April 1990) was a university professor known for his work as a human rights advocate. He was also the elder brother of Iranian Mujahedin leader Massoud Rajavi. When, in 1971, Massoud Rajavi was arrested and sentenced to death, Kazem Rajavi managed to prevent the execution by forming an international campaign and changing the verdict to life imprisonment. He engaged in international endeavors to defend human rights in Iran, held graduate degrees in law, sociology and political science, and was a "major opposition voice to the fundamentalist government of Iranian". He was a political science professor at Geneva University. He is believed to have been assassinated by Islamic Republic of Iran agents. Safinaz Kazem, also written Safynaz Kazem (Egyptian Arabic: صفيناز كاظم, born 17 August 1937 in Alexandria), is an Egyptian author and literary critic. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Cairo University in 1959, she wrote many articles. Safinaz Kazem began her training as a journalist at ''Akhbar El Yom'' newspaper in November 1955, while still a student at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. Later she worked at the magazines ''Akher Saa'' and ''Al-Geel Al-Gadeed'', then she moved to Al-Helal Publishing House as a writer and theatrical critic for the magazines ''Al-Musawar'', ''Al-Helal'', and ''Al-Kawakeb''. Kazem Jalali ( fa, کاظم جلالی) (born 25 July 1967) is an Iranian conservative politician and member of the Majlis from Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr district. Kadim Jabbar Al Samarai (born September 12, 1957), better known by his stage name Kadim Al Sahir ( ar, كاظم الساهر}), is an Iraqi singer and composer. He typically performs with an orchestra of twenty to thirty musicians on Arabic percussion, oud, qanun, nay, and a full complement of strings (violin, cello, and bass). While some of his work makes use of electronic musical sounds, he avoids the use of synthesizers to imitate acoustic instruments. Grand Ayatollah Kadhim Husayni al-Haeri ( ar, كاظم الحسيني الحائري) (born 1938) is a prominent Twelver Shi'a Marja. He has studied in seminars of Najaf, Iraq under Grand Ayatollah Sadeq al-Sadr. Haeri was born in Karbala, Iraq. He was a top leader of the Al-Da'wa Party in Iraq. His involvement in the party led to his exile in the 1970s, later he moved to Iran, where he remains to this day in the city of Qom. Kazem Akhavan
Three Iranian diplomats as well as a reporter for Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) were abducted in Lebanon on 4 July 1982. None of them have been seen since. The missing individuals are Ahmad Motevaselian, military attaché for Iran's embassy in Beirut; Seyed Mohsen Mousavi, chargé d'affaires at the embassy; Taghi Rastegar Moghadam, an embassy employee; and Kazem Akhavan, IRNA photojournalist.
