Kazakh National Medical University
Kazakh National Medical University is a university in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was established in 1931, and the first rector was S.D. Asfendiyarov. In 2001, the government classified it as a "national" university. The university has a student population of 11,000 students and PhD students study at KazNMU, and 1500 faculty members. National University
A national university is mainly a university created or managed by a government, but which may also at the same time operate autonomously without direct control by the state. Almaty
Almaty (; kk, Алматы; ), formerly known as Alma-Ata ( kk, Алма-Ата), is the List of most populous cities in Kazakhstan, largest city in Kazakhstan, with a population of about 2 million. A university () is an institution of higher (or tertiary) education and research which awards academic degrees in several academic disciplines.
