Kavindra Chaudhary is an Indian politician, farmer, and a member of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly from the Kaptanganj Assembly constituency of Basti district. He is a member of the Samajwadi Party. Early life Kavindra Chaudhary was born on 22 February 1992 in Sant Kabir Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, to a Hindu family of Ram Prasad Chaudhary. Origin of name and history Basti was originally known as Vaishishthi. The origin of the name Vaishishthi is attributed to the fact that this area was the ashram of Rishi (sage) Vashistha in ancient period.
