Katrina Wan
Katrina Wan Ka Kai (; born 8 March 1988) is a snooker player from Hong Kong. She was runner-up in the 2018 Australian Women's Open. Biography Wan started playing on the women's snooker circuit in 2013. She reached her highest ranking to date, 5th, in October 2018. At the 2016 WLBS World Ladies Pairs Championship, Wan and Ng On-yee, beat Maria Catalano and Tatjana Vasiljeva 4–1. Another doubles success for Wan was partnering Sanderson Lam to win the Festival of Women's Snooker 10-Red mixed pairs’ tournament in 2017. Wan was runner-up at the 2018 Australian Women's Open. She topped her qualifying group by winning all five matches 3–0, then saw off Janine Rollings 3–0 in the last 16, and Jessica Woods 3–1 in the quarter final. Sanderson Lam () (born 28 January 1994) is an English professional snooker player. Early life Lam was born to Chinese parents in Leeds, England. His parents moved to England in the 1980s. Career In 2011 Lam started to take part in the Players Tour Championship, a tournament series for professionals and amateurs. In the first three tournaments in England, he lost the first match in each case, but at the Paul Hunter Classic in Fürth he secured two victories in the qualifying rounds and played Mark Williams where he was defeated 4–0. 2018 Women's World Snooker Championship
The 2018 World Women's Snooker Championship was a women's snooker tournament that took place at the Dolmen Hotel, St. Paul's Bay, in Malta from 14 to 17 March 2018. Defending champion Ng On-yee won the event with a 5–0 win against Maria Catalano in the final. Ng On-yee won the title without losing a single frame over all six of her matches and as champion, qualified to enter the 2018 World Snooker Championship. The 2017 World Women's Snooker Championship was a women's snooker tournament that took place at the Lagoon Billiard Room in Toa Payoh, Singapore, from 13 to 19 March 2017. The World Women's Snooker Championship (formerly known as the Women's World Open Championship from 1976 to 1981 and the World Ladies Snooker Championship from 1983 to 2018) is the leading tournament on the World Women's Snooker Tour. Reanne Evans (born 25 October 1985) is an English professional snooker player who competes on the World Women's Snooker Tour and the professional World Snooker Tour. She is the number one ranked player on the women's tour, and regularly features as a pundit on televised snooker coverage. World Women's Snooker, founded as the World Ladies Billiards and Snooker Association (WLBSA) in 1981, and known as World Ladies Billiards and Snooker (WLBS) from 2015 to 2018, is a subsidiary company of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association concerned with governing and promoting snooker and billiards for women. Maria Catalano (born 27 February 1982) is an English snooker player. Career In the 2007 season she won the British Open and the Connie Gough National Championship. In December 2002, she was ranked number four in the world. She was ranked world number one for the 2013–14 season. Ng On-yee (; born 17 November 1990) is a Hong Kong professional snooker player who has won three IBSF World Snooker Championships and three World Women's Snooker world championships. She held the number one position in the World Women's Snooker world ranking list from February 2018 to April 2019. After competing in several International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) tournaments, Ng became the youngest-ever IBSF women's world champion at the age of 19 and successfully defended the title the following year.
