Katie Loynes
Katie Loynes (born 23 March 1986) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton and Greater Western Sydney in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. AFLW career Loynes was drafted by Carlton with the club's fourteenth selection and the one hundred and tenth overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in Round 1, 2017, in the club and the league's inaugural match at Ikon Park against . At the end of the 2018 season, she was the joint winner of the club best and fairest alongside Breann Moody. Loynes was delisted by Carlton at the conclusion of the 2021 season. A few weeks later it was announced that she joined Greater Western Sydney. In April 2022, Loynes retired after 45 AFLW games. Diamond Creek Football Club
The Diamond Creek Football Club is an Australian rules football club located in Diamond Creek – an outer north-eastern suburb of Melbourne. History Formed in 1904, the club was a founding member of the Whittlesea District Football Association. A move to the Bourke-Evelyn Football League in 1906 was very successful with premierships in 1906 and 1908 and being runners-up in 1907 and 1912. 2021 AFL Women's Season
The 2021 AFL Women's season was the fifth season of the AFL Women's competition, the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured fourteen clubs, ran from 28 January until 17 April, and comprised a 9-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top six clubs.
