Breann Moody (born 4 March 1997) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Carlton Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She was drafted by Carlton with the club's ninth selection and the sixty seventh overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in Round 1, 2017, in the club and the league's inaugural match at Ikon Park against . Moody finished 2017 having played in all seven of Carlton's matches that season. In 2018, Moody received a nomination for the 2018 AFL Women's Rising Star award after recording 29 hitouts and eleven disposals in Carlton's round 5 loss to . VFL Women's
VFL Women's (VFLW) is the major state-level women's Australian rules football league in Victoria. The league initially comprised the six premier division clubs and the top four division 1 clubs from the now-defunct Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL), and has since evolved into what is also the second primary competition for AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs in Victoria. The competition has been held concurrently with the AFLW since 2021. Following the 2017 season, the VFL Women's was reconfigured to affiliate teams more closely with AFL clubs. Katie Loynes (born 23 March 1986) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton and Greater Western Sydney in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. AFLW career Loynes was drafted by Carlton with the club's fourteenth selection and the one hundred and tenth overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in Round 1, 2017, in the club and the league's inaugural match at Ikon Park against . At the end of the 2018 season, she was the joint winner of the club best and fairest alongside Breann Moody. Loynes was delisted by Carlton at the conclusion of the 2021 season. Early life Celine is the daughter of Peter Moody, who trained the racehorse Black Caviar. She has a twin sister, Breann Moody, who plays in the AFLW for . Both attended St Margaret's School, where they played football together. Throughout her junior career Moody usually played as a defender. She trained as an information systems technician for the Australian Army and took a four-year break from football. On her return in 2018, Moody joined Carlton's VFL Women's side. Black Caviar (foaled 18 August 2006) is a champion Australian Thoroughbred racehorse who was undefeated in 25 races, including 15 Group Ones, an Australian record. She was the 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 WTRR World Champion Sprinter. Black Caviar was trained by Melbourne-based trainer Peter Moody.
