Kate Collins (journalist)
Kate Collins (born 7 April 1986 in Mount Gambier, South Australia) is an Australian journalist. Collins currently presents '' Nine News Adelaide'' with Brenton Ragless. Career Collins studied at Norwood Morialta High School, and later the University of Adelaide, and the University of South Australia. She has also worked as a weekend newsreader at Austereo Radio. She began training as a presenter at C31 Adelaide. She joined NWS 9 in Adelaide in 2006 as a general reporter for '' Nine News'', and in 2007 began acting as fill-in news presenter on weekends. She replaced Rob Kelvin in 2011. Mount Gambier
Mount Gambier is the second most populated city in South Australia, with an estimated urban population of 33,233 . The city is located on the slopes of Mount Gambier, a volcano in the south east of the state, about south-east of the capital Adelaide and just from the Victorian border. The traditional owners of the area are the Bungandidj (or Boandik) people. Mount Gambier is the most important settlement in the Limestone Coast region and the seat of government for both the City of Mount Gambier and the District Council of Grant. Rob Kelvin
Rob Kelvin (born 20 September 1944) is an Australian former television news presenter. He was a presenter of the weeknight edition of '' Nine News Adelaide'' produced by NWS-9. Kelvin presented the bulletin with Kevin Crease until February 2007, when Crease retired after being diagnosed with cancer. Kelvin presented with Kelly Nestor and then Michael Smyth until he retired in December 2010. Early life Kelvin attended Woodville High School and studied economics at university. He worked as a Patrol Officer in Papua New Guinea from 1964 to 1970 and returned to Australia in 1971 where he joined Lee Murray's Radio School in Melbourne. Career Kelvin began broadcasting at Townsville's 4AY until a cyclone blew away part of his house. He then shifted to Swan Hill's 3SH.
