Georgina McGuinness
Georgina McGuinness (née Allan, formerly Thomas) is a newsreader who was the anchor of Nine News#Adelaide, ''Nine News Adelaide'''s weekend 6pm news bulletin from 1989 to 2011. Career An Adelaide native, born 29 August 1966, she studied at Seymour College and at the Magill, South Australia, Magill campus of the University of South Australia, South Australian College of Advanced Education (now a part of the University of South Australia). She graduated in 1987 and joined Nine News as a reporter. Just a year later she was appointed weekend news anchor, which job she continued to 2011, along with filing special reports. During this time, her bulletins consistently rated higher than the rival ''Seven News#Adelaide, Seven News Adelaide'' in its timeslot. ''Nine News'' (stylised ''9News'') is the national news service of the Nine Network in Australia. Its flagship program is the hour-long 6:00 pm state bulletin, produced by Nine's owned-and-operated stations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin. Adelaide Christmas Pageant
The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is a parade held annually in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. Established in 1933, the event is staged annually on the second Saturday of November, typically from 9.30am except 2020 and 2021 where it was broadcast at 7:00pm. It comprises a procession of 85 sets and 1,700 volunteers, including some 63 floats, 15 bands, 164 clowns, dancing groups, and walking performers, all culminating in the arrival of Father Christmas. The pageant is officially recognised as a "heritage icon" by the National Trust of Australia, and a "state institution" by the Government of South Australia. The pageant has been owned by the South Australian Government since 1996, and National Pharmacies has been the naming rights sponsor since 2019. Kate Collins (born 7 April 1986 in Mount Gambier, South Australia) is an Australian journalist. Collins currently presents '' Nine News Adelaide'' with Brenton Ragless. Career Collins studied at Norwood Morialta High School, and later the University of Adelaide, and the University of South Australia. She has also worked as a weekend newsreader at Austereo Radio. Isobel Redmond
Isobel Mary Redmond (born 8 April 1953) is a former Australian politician who was the member for the electoral district of Heysen in the House of Assembly from 2002 to 2018. She was the parliamentary leader of the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia and the Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament of South Australia between 2009 and 2013, and was the first female leader of a South Australian state major party. The Women's and Children's Hospital is located on King William Road in North Adelaide, Australia. It is one of the major hospitals in Adelaide and is a teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Flinders University. Anthony McGuinness (born 6 May 1964 in Adelaide, South Australia) is a former Australian rules football player who played for Footscray and in the VFL/AFL.
