Kata Blanka Vas
Blanka Kata Vas (; born 3 September 2001) is a Hungarian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She rode in the women's road race event at the 2020 UCI Road World Championships, and in the women's cross-country event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In June 2021, Vas joined UCI Women's WorldTeam on a two-year contract. She previously rode for UCI Women's Continental Team . The Grand Prix De Ster Sint-Niklaas or GP De Ster Sint-Niklaas is a cyclo-cross race held in Sint-Niklaas Sint-Niklaas (; french: Saint-Nicolas, ) is a Belgian city and municipality located in the Flemish province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Sint-Niklaas proper and the towns of Belsele, Nieuwkerken-Waas, and . Sint-Nikl ..., Belgium. First held for men in the 2002–2003 season, it was traditionally held on 2 January. This caused troubles in the 2010–2011 season when it coincided with a cross in Tervuren, eventually leading to the cancelling of the event. The next season also did not see an edition. The women's cross-country mountain biking event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 27 July 2021 at the Izu MTB Course, Izu, Shizuoka. 38 cyclists from 29 nations were expected to compete, but only 37 did. The race ended in all three medals won by Swiss athletes, the first medal sweep in Olympic cycling history. Background This was the 7th appearance of the event, which has been held at every Summer Olympics since mountain bike cycling was added to the programme in 1996. 2020 UCI Road World Championships
The 2020 UCI Road World Championships is the 93rd edition of the UCI Road World Championships, the annual world championships for road bicycle racing. It took place between 24 and 27 September 2020 in Imola, Italy. The event was originally planned to be held in the Aigle and Martigny area in Switzerland, but this was cancelled on 12 August in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. No under-23 or junior races were contested at the Championships; however, under-23 riders were eligible to compete in the elite races. Courses The road races took place on a course, starting and finishing at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (a motor racing circuit). Heading out from the Autodromo into the Emilia-Romagna countryside, the course used two climbs with an average gradient of 10% separated by the town of Riolo Terme, before returning to the Autodromo.
