Hripsime Khurshudyan
Hripsime Khurshudyan ( hy, Õ€Õ¼Õ«ÖƒÕ½Õ«Õ´Õ¥ Ô½Õ¸Ö‚Ö€Õ·Õ¸Ö‚Õ¤ÕµÕ¡Õ¶, born July 27, 1987 in Kasakh, Armenian SSR) is an Armenian weightlifter. Early life Hripsime was born in the village Kasakh in the Nairi region of Armenian SSR. She has been training in weightlifting since she was 15 under the honored coach of Armenia, Sarmen Yesayan. Career Khurshudyan won a silver medal at the 2006 European Weightlifting Championships. She became the first woman weightlifter from the independent Republic of Armenia to win a medal at the European Weightlifting Championships. The following year, she and Meline Daluzyan became the first Armenian female weightlifters to become European Champions at the 2007 European Weightlifting Championships. Khurshudyan also became a Junior World Champion in 2007. Khurshudyan competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 75 kg weight class, finishing in 11th place. Kotayk Province
Kotayk ( hy, Ô¿Õ¸Õ¿Õ¡ÕµÖ„, ), is a province ('' marz'') of Armenia. It is located at the central part of the country. Its capital is Hrazdan and the largest city is Abovyan. It is named after the Kotayk canton of the historic Ayrarat province of Ancient Armenia. Kotayk is bordered by Lori Province from the north, Tavush Province from the northeast, Gegharkunik Province from the east, Aragatsotn Province from the west, and Ararat Province and the capital Yerevan from the south. Kotayk is the only province in Armenia that has no borders with foreign countries. The province is home to many ancient landmarks and tourist attractions in Armenia including the 1st-century Temple of Garni, the medieval Bjni Fortress, 11th-century Kecharis Monastery and the 13th-century monastery of Geghard.
