''Karyam Nissaram'' ( en, The Matter is Simple) is a 1983 Indian Malayalam-language drama film produced by Raju Mathew under the banner of Century Films and written and directed by Balachandra Menon. The film stars Prem Nazir and Lakshmi, along with Lalu Alex, Balachandra Menon, Poornima Jayaram, Sukumari, Jalaja, Baiju and K. P. Ummer in supporting roles. Balachandra Menon
Balachandra Menon ( ml, ബാലചന്ദ്ര മേനോൻ) (born 11 January 1954) is an Indian actor, director and script writer. He made a number of films in the Malayalam films of the 1980s, 1980s and Malayalam films of the 1990s, 1990s. He has directed 40 films and has acted in over 100. He won two National Film Awards including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance as station master Ismail the 1998 film ''Samaantharangal'', which was also directed by him. ''Mappillai Sir'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language film written and directed by D. S. Balagan from a story by Balachandra Menon. The film stars Visu, Mohan and Rekha.
