Karuna Bhandari ( ne, करुणा भण्डारी is a Nepali cricketer and a bowler of Nepali National Cricket team. She bats right handed and bowls right-arm off break. Bhandari played in the 2014 Asian Games as a part of the Nepal women's national cricket team. She also played in Women's T20 Qualifier's Asian Region. She was "player of the match" on the match with Kuwait in the ACC Women's Twenty20 Championship whom Nepal defeated and qualified to the semifinals. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). The South Asian Games (SAG or SA Games), formerly known as the South Asian Federation Games (SAFG or SAF Games), is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC), formed in 1983. 2019 South Asian Games
The 2019 South Asian Games, officially the XIII South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event which was originally slated to be held from 9 to 18 March 2019 in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. However, the dates were postponed and the event was held from 1–10 December 2019, coincidentally at the same time as the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. The new dates were confirmed at the South Asian Olympic Council Executive Board meeting in Bangkok on 1 March 2019. Nepal Women's National Cricket Team
The Nepal national women's cricket team represents Nepal in international women's cricket. They made their international debut in the ACC Women's Tournament in Malaysia in July 2007. Nepal has been participating in various international tournaments since then. Nepal's current captain is Rubina Chhetry, coach is Shyam Sun Jung Thapa and manager is Sanjaya Raj Singh. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members.
