Karl Rabeder
Karl Rabeder (born 1963) is an Austrian businessman who founded the non-profit organization MyMicroCredit in 2009, which aims to reduce poverty in Central America, Central and South America. In February 2010, announced that he will be donating his entire fortune of over four million US dollars, including the profits from all of his properties, his car, and his businesses, to charities he set up in Central and South America. Serious allegations have been raised by the German newspaper, ''Der Stern'', and others as to whether or not Rabeder was actually using the publicity around his "giving it all away" to generate revenue for his own personal purposes. Klaus Ohlmann (born 1952 in Neustadt, Germany)) is a German glider pilot who has established 36 world records approved by FAI. Among these is the record for a free distance flight with up to 3 turn-points by flying 3,009 km from Chapelco Airport at San Martín de los Andes (Argentina) in a Schempp-Hirth Nimbus 4 DM on 21 January 2003 with his co-pilot Karl Rabeder. On 9 January 2003 at El Calafate in Argentina he made a flight of 2,247.6 km in a Schempp-Hirth Nimbus 4 DM. This set a new world free distance record, breaking the record set over 30 years earlier by Hans-Werner Grosse. Chapelco
Chapelco, or Cerro Chapelco, is a mountain and massif in Neuquén Province, south-western Argentina. The ski station of the same name is located from the resort town of San Martín de los Andes. Designed by Federico Graeff and established in 1946, Chapelco became an increasingly popular tourist destination after 1970. The station maintains a ski and snowboard school with 200 instructors for all ages as well as numerous lodges, the most important of which is the Graeff Lodge; eight restaurants; a ski and snowboard rental and repair center; boutiques and cybercafés; and emergency and other basic services. The station is accessible via National Route 234 from San Martín de los Andes, and via a two-hour flight from Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires to the Aviador Carlos Campos Airport.
