Karl Menzies
Karl Menzies (born 17 June 1977) is a professional road bicycle racer riding for UCI Continental team . He finished second in the 2006 USA Cycling National Racing Calendar to Floyd Landis. Menzies turned professional in 2005, he spent one season on the Advantage Benefits/Endeavour team. In 2006, he won the Nature Valley Grand Prix, ahead of teammate Greg Henderson. In 2005, he finished first overall at the International Cycling Classic. In 2007, he won stage 1 of the Jacob's Creek Tour Down Under and was the overall winner at the International Tour de Toona stage race. Ulverstone is a town on the northern coast of Tasmania, Australia on the mouth of the River Leven (Tasmania), River Leven, on Bass Strait. Jacob's Creek Tour Down Under
The Tour Down Under (branded as the Santos Tour Down Under under a partnership arrangement) is a cycling race in and around Adelaide, South Australia, and is traditionally the opening event of the UCI World Tour and features all 19 UCI WorldTeams. It also runs as a UCI Women's ProSeries event and features a one-day circuit race as a 'prelude' to the main race. The race was established in 1999 with the support of then Premier of South Australia John Olsen as part of an effort to fill the gap in the state's sporting calendar left by the move of the Australian Grand Prix from Adelaide to Melbourne, Victoria. Since then, the event has been organised by South Australia's Major Event's arm Events South Australia. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m. International Tour De Toona
The International Tour de Toona was a stage bicycle race held in Central Pennsylvania in July from 1987 until 2011. The event became the largest pro-am cycling event in North America and had stages spanning Blair, Cambria, Bedford, and Somerset Counties in Pennsylvania. The name was changed to The International for the 2002 edition of the race and then to the International Tour de Toona for the 2004 edition. In 2008, tour organizers scaled back the event to a one-day criterium race in downtown Altoona. On May 22, 2009, it was announced that the 2009 Tour de Toona would be canceled due to a lack of sponsorship. The 2010 event was again a single day criterium race in downtown Altoona In 2011 the event returned to being a 4-day 4 stage race for both men and women. The International Cycling Classic, also known as Superweek, was a stage race, multi-day cycling race held around Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Greg Henderson
Gregory Henderson (born 10 September 1976) is a New Zealand former professional track and road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2002 and 2017. His career includes winning the scratch race at the 2004 world championships and, in road cycling, winning the points competition at the Tour de Georgia in 2005 and 2008. Henderson rode in five Olympic Games and completed 11 Grand Tours. He also competed in four Commonwealth Games and was a four-time medallist, including winning gold in the points race in 2002. During an important part of his career, he served as André Greipel's main lead-out man, and they were colleagues at both and later .
