Karl Gustav Berndal, also Carl Gustav Berndal, (2 November 1830 – 30 July 1885) was a German stage actor Life Born in Berlin, Berndal was accepted in July 1848 as a young 18-year-old pupil of the court theatre, but was released the following year. First he stayed in Berlin and played in the first and oldest amateur theatre in Berlin, the Urania. In April 1851, director Woltersdorf engaged him for Königsberg In 1852, Berndal went to Szczecin, made a guest appearance at the Royal Theatre in Berlin in May 1853 in the class of young heroes and lovers and was engaged in May 1854 first for three, then for ten years and finally in 1866 for life. Already in 1855, Berndal changed to the older subject and after Hendrichs' departure in 1864, he became his representative in the heroic roles. ''Mary Stuart'' (german: Maria Stuart, ) is a verse play by Friedrich Schiller that depicts the last days of Mary, Queen of Scots. The play consists of five acts, each divided into several scenes. The play had its première in Weimar, Germany on 14 June 1800. The play formed the basis for Donizetti's opera ''Maria Stuarda'' (1835). Synopsis Mary Stuart is imprisoned in England — nominally for the murder of her husband Darnley, but actually due to her claim to the throne of England held by Queen Elizabeth I. While Mary's cousin, Elizabeth, hesitates over signing Mary's death sentence, Mary hopes for a reprieve. Paul List (21 August 1869 – 30 April 1929) was a German publisher. Life Born in Berlin the son of Friedrich Jacob Alfred List (1829-1882), banker and co-founder of , and his wife Christine Marie Louise, ''née'' Simon, started out in Göttingen But then he started the career of his grandfather, the Berlin publisher Jacob Alfred List (1778-1848), who studied agriculture and became a bookseller at the publishing house Schall & Grund, Berlin. Laura Friedmann
Laura Friedmann (8 April 1860 – after 1893) was a German operatic coloratura soprano. Life Born in Berlin, Friedmann showed her singing talent at an early age and was trained as an opera singer at the Königliche Hochschule in Berlin from 1874 to 1877. Among others, she was trained in singing by Gustav Engel and Adolf Schulze and in acting by Minona Frieb-Blumauer and Karl Gustav Berndal. On 30 June 1877, she passed her exams under the supervision of Joseph Joachim and was discharged into professional life. She had her first engagement in Bremen under the direction of Max Pohl.
