Karl Fischer Titration
Karl Fischer titration is a classic titration method in chemical analysis that uses coulometric or volumetric titration to determine trace amounts of water in a sample. It was invented in 1935 by the German chemist Karl Fischer. Today, the titration is done with an automated Karl Fischer titrator. Chemical principle The elementary reaction responsible for water quantification in the Karl Fischer titration is oxidation of sulfur dioxide with iodine: : 2 H2O + SO2 + I2 → H2SO4 + 2 HI This elementary reaction consumes exactly one molar equivalent of water vs. iodine. Iodine is added to the solution until it is present in excess, marking the end point of the titration, which can be detected by potentiometry. The reaction is run in an alcohol solution containing a base, which consumes the sulfur trioxide and hydroiodic acid produced. Pogoń Lwów
LKS Pogoń Lwów is a former Polish professional sports club which was located in Lwów, Lwów Voivodeship (now Lviv in Ukraine), and existed from 1904 until the outbreak of World War II in 1939. It was the second oldest Polish football club behind other teams from Lwów – Czarni and Lechia. With numerous departments, among them football, ice hockey and track and field, Pogoń was a major force of Polish sports in the interbellum period; its football team was never relegated from the elite Polish Football League. The club ceased to exist in September 1939, following German and Soviet aggression on Poland. On 2 July 1939, Pogoń played last pre-war official home game, drawing 1–1 with AKS Chorzów. Left communism, or the communist left, is a position held by the left wing of communism, which criticises the political ideas and practices espoused by Marxist–Leninists and social democrats. Left communists assert positions which they regard as more authentically Marxist than the views of Marxism–Leninism espoused by the Communist International after its Bolshevization by Joseph Stalin and during its second congress. Karl Fischer (February 22, 1949 – March 12, 2019) was a Hungarian-born architect with practices in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and New York City. Karl Fischer Von Treuenfeld
Karl Freiherr von Fischer-Treuenfeld (31 March 1885 – 7 June 1946) was a German Waffen-SS commander. A brigade commander during the Nazi era, during the invasion of the Soviet Union, he commanded the 2 SS Infantry Brigade and the 1 SS Infantry Brigade, which engaged in the killing of Jews, communists and partisans (bandits). Treuenfeld later commanded the SS Division Frundsberg. He committed suicide in 1946 whilst in American custody. Career Born in 1885, Treuenfeld enlisted in the Prussian Army in 1904. He studied at the War Academy until 1914, and then served during World War I. He was transferred to the General staff in December 1915 and later served on the staff of the field army of General Erich Ludendorff. After the end of the war he was the commander of the militia units in the Hamburg area.
