Karl Carver
Karl Carver (born 26 March 1996) is an English first-class cricketer. A left-handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler, Carver was previously contracted to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, for whom he played his debut first-class match in 2014. In July 2021, Carver signed with Warwickshire to play for the side for three weeks during the 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup. Biography Carver had been with Yorkshire since 2009, starting at under 14 level. He went on to play for the Yorkshire Academy in the Yorkshire ECB County Premier League, and the Yorkshire Second XI, the England Under-19 cricket team, as well as appearing in his debut first-class match for Yorkshire. Thirsk
Thirsk is a market town and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England known for its racecourse; quirky yarnbomber displays, and depiction as local author James Herriot's fictional Darrowby. 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup
The 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was a limited overs cricket competition that formed part of the 2021 English cricket season in England and Wales. Matches were contested over 50 overs per side, having List A cricket status, with all eighteen County cricket#First-class counties, first-class counties competing in the tournament. The tournament started on 22 July 2021, with the final taking place on 19 August 2021 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Somerset County Cricket Club, Somerset were the defending champions winning the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup, 2019 tournament, with no tournament taking place in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ross Whiteley
Ross Andrew Whiteley (born 13 September 1988) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Derbyshire. Biography Whiteley was born in Sheffield. He played with the Derbyshire Second XI from the 2006 season, in the Second XI Championship and Trophy. In the 2008 season Whiteley made his List A debut in September in a Pro40 game against Glamorgan followed shortly by his First-class debut against Leicestershire in the County Championship. He also played three Pro40 matches in the 2009 season. He is a left-handed batsman. In the 2012 season Whiteley hit the winning runs that promoted Derbyshire as Division 2 winners into Division 1. The Yorkshire ECB County Premier League was the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in Yorkshire, England, and between 1999 and 2015 was a designated ECB Premier League. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs.
