Karen Volkman
Karen Volkman (born January 1967, in Miami Beach, Florida) is an American poet. Life She was educated at New College of Florida, Syracuse University, and the University of Houston. Her poems have appeared in anthologies including ''The Best American Poetry'', and ''The Pushcart Prize XXVII''. She has taught at several universities, including the University of Alabama, University of Pittsburgh, University of Chicago, and Columbia College Chicago. She currently lives in Missoula, and teaches in the MFA writing program at the University of Montana-Missoula. Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It was incorporated on March 26, 1915. The municipality is located on natural and artificial island, man-made barrier islands between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, the latter of which separates the Beach from the mainland city of Miami. The 1st century was the century spanning AD 1 ( I) through AD 100 ( C) according to the Julian calendar.
