Karen MacNeil
Karen MacNeil (born 1954) is an American author, journalist, wine educator and consultant. Career MacNeil's first article, on the subject of the best butter on offer in New York delis, was published in ''The Village Voice.'' She transitioned to wine writing in the mid-1970s, when she was commissioned by ''Elle'' magazine to write a wine article. In 1991, she signed a contract with Workman Publishing Co. to write a book on wine, ''The Wine Bible'', which was released in 2001. Her second book was ''Wine, Food & Friends'' (2006). and was the host of a 13-episode PBS series titled ''Wine, Food and Friends with Karen MacNeil'' (in tandem with the book), for which she won an Emmy. MacNeil was also wine correspondent on NBC's ''The Today Show'', has published articles in a wide range of publications, and works as a private wine education consultant. The Culinary Institute Of America At Greystone
The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone is a branch campus of the private culinary college the Culinary Institute of America. The Greystone campus, located on State Route 29/ 128 in St. Helena, California, offers associate degrees and two certificate programs in culinary arts and baking and pastry arts. The CIA at Greystone and the Culinary Institute of America at Copia make up the school's California branch. The campus' primary facility is a stone building, known as Greystone Cellars and built for William Bowers Bourn II as a cooperative wine cellar in 1889. Hamden McIntyre designed the gravity flow winery along with other wineries of the decade. The building changed ownership several times, and was notably owned by the Christian Brothers as a winery from 1945 to 1989. Jancis Mary Robinson OBE, ComMA, MW (born 22 April 1950) is a British wine critic, journalist and wine writer. Napa Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Napa County in California's Wine Country. It was established by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) on January 27, 1981.
