Karen Jarrett (' Smedley and formerly Angle, born October 12, 1972) is an American professional wrestling Valet (wrestling), valet and personality. She was formerly the senior vice president of the Impact Knockouts Division. She is the former wife of professional wrestler and Olympic Games, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle and the current wife of Impact Wrestling, Impact and Global Force Wrestling (2014–2017), GFW founder and wrestler Jeff Jarrett. Early life Karen Smedley was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where she was educated through the Hempfield Area School District, graduating from Hempfield Area High School in 1990. She completed a bachelor's degree from a public university. Her parents are Jack and Iva Smedley. Her father was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) in 1983. The 2001 Unforgiven was the fourth annual Unforgiven professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on September 23, 2001, at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was the final Unforgiven event held under the WWF name as the promotion was renamed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in May 2002.
