''Karaoke'' is the 11th studio album by Swedish pop and rock artist Magnus Uggla. It was released in 1997. All songs are composed by Uggla and Anders Henriksson. The album was recorded in mid-1997 in Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. The songs "Kompositören" and "Visa" were recorded live at Börsen in Stockholm, 1997. Magnus Uggla
Per Allan Magnus Claësson Uggla (pronounced ; born 18 June 1954) is a Swedish artist, composer, actor, and occasional radio host. He is known for his satire, satirical lyrics. Uggla was born in Stockholm. He was the lead singer of the hard rock band JUSO (later renamed Alexander Lucas) before going solo in the early 1970s. Their influences were Black Sabbath, The Groundhogs and Alice Cooper, among others. Uggla's first two glam rock, glam- and art rock-inspired albums ''Om Bobbo Viking'' and ''Livets teater''ˈ did not sell well, the first only about 500 copies in Sweden and ''Livets teater'' even less. But his departure from glam rock with the punk rock, punk and hard rock inspired ''Va ska man ta livet av sig för när man ändå inte får höra snacket efteråt'' gained him much popularity and the album sold about 150,000 copies. Vanna Rosenberg
Vanna Felicia Rosenberg Synnerholm (born 3 April 1973 in Farsta, Stockholm Municipality) is a Swedish singer and actor. She is married to the film producer Ulf Synnerholm. Career Rosenberg started doing plays as a kindergarten-child; her mother, Annika Isaksson, was a drama-pedagogist and the whole kindergarten acted in the TV program '' Du måste förstå att jag älskar Fantomen'', that aired over Christmas 1981–1982. As a singer, Rosenberg has been a member of the dance-music group ''Adastra''. From 1997 to 2001 Rosenberg studied at the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting. A duet is a musical composition for two performers in which the performers have equal importance to the piece, often a composition involving two singers or two pianists. It differs from a harmony, as the performers take turns performing a solo section rather than performing simultaneously. "Kung för en dag" is the second track of Magnus Uggla's 1997 album ''Karaoke.'' It was written by Magnus Uggla together with Anders Henriksson. Lyrically dealing with partying when the wage arrives for the month, the song was the album's major hit. The music video shows Olle Sarri acting as partying. The single peaked at 4th position at the Swedish singles chart and also charted at Svensktoppen for eight weeks between 11 October-29 November 1997, peaking at number five. The song also charted at Trackslistan for four weeks between 13 September-4 October 1997, peaking at eighth position. On 1 July 2008, when Uggla appeared as guest, the song was performed as a sing-along song at Allsång på Skansen on 1 July 2008. Polar Studios
Polar Studios was a recording studio in Stockholm, Sweden, which operated from 1978 through 2004. The studio was formed by ABBA musicians Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and the band's manager Stig Anderson, owner of the Polar Music recording label.
