Kane (comics)
''Kane'' is a comic book series created, written and drawn by Paul Grist. Self-published through Dancing Elephant Press, Grist put out 31 issues of ''Kane'' from 1993 to 2001. Overview ''Kane'' concerns a police detective who works in the 39th precinct of the fictional American city of New Eden, which seems to be located on the West Coast. Despite being a UK citizen, Grist appears to have modeled New Eden and its police force in the style of American cop shows such as ''Hill Street Blues'' and ''NYPD Blue''. Another clear influence is the work of Frank Miller, particularly his ''Sin City'' comics. ''Cerebus'' was another formative influence, particularly because it proved to Grist that self-published comics were a viable proposition; the first issue of ''Cerebus'' that Grist read was #39, hence the designation of Kane's precinct. Will Kane
William "Will" Kane is the protagonist of the film ''High Noon'' (1952). Glenn Thomas Jacobs (born April 26, 1967), better known by the ring name Kane is an American politician and professional wrestler. Jacobs has been signed to WWE since 1995 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in WWE Hall of Fame (2021), 2021. In Hawaiian mythology, Kāne is considered the highest of the three major Hawaiian deities, along with Kū and Lono. He represented the god of procreation and was worshipped as ancestor of chiefs and commoners. Kāne is the creator and gives life associated with dawn, sun and sky. No human sacrifice or laborious ritual was needed in the worship of Kāne. In the Kumuhonua legend, he created Earth, bestowed upon it sea creatures, animals, plants, and created man and woman. ''Kane'' is a multi-section action game published by Mastertronic for the Commodore 64 in 1986. It was ported to the Acorn Electron, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum, and the Commodore 16 and Plus/4. The game is set in the Wild West, and its name is a reference to the main character of the film ''High Noon''. It consists of four distinct scenes, although some versions only contain two.
