Kanakam
T. Kanakam (c. 1927 – 21 July 2015) was an Indian Telugu drama and film actress and singer between the 1940s and 1960s. She acted in some of the best known and most popular hit films of that period. Biography Kanakam was born in Kharagpur in 1927 and later relocated to Vijayawada. She started singing folk songs in All India Radio since childhood. She became famous for playing Nayakuralu Nagamma in ''Palnati Yudham'' and Sri Krishna in ''Kurukshetram'' dramas. She also played as Srirama, Chintamani and many more and toured the entire state playing the dramas. She is contemporary to Peesapati Narasimha Murty, Shanmukhi Anjaneya Raju, Kalyanam Raghuramaiah, Relangi, Madhavapeddi Satyam and others. ''Shavukaru'' () is a 1950 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by L. V. Prasad. The film was produced by Nagireddy and Chakrapani under the Vijaya Productions banner as their maiden production. It stars N. T. Rama Rao in his first leading role after having a brief appearance as a police officer in the film ''Mana Desam'' (1949), along with debutant Janaki too in her first leading role. The music composed by Ghantasala. The film won critical acclaim but underperformed commercially. ''Shavukaru'' bought wide fame to the lead actress Janaki and people began referring to her as Sowcar Janaki after the film's release. The film was remade in Tamil as ''Enga Veetu Penn'' (1965). ''Bhakta Prahlada'' () is a 1967 Indian Telugu language, Telugu-language Hindu mythological film directed by Chitrapu Narayana Rao based on a script by D. V. Narasa Raju. It stars S. V. Ranga Rao and Anjali Devi. Roja Ramani, in her film debut, plays the title character. ''Bhakta Prahlada'' is produced on the AVM Productions banner by A. V. Meiyappan and his sons, M. Murugan, M. Kumaran and M. Saravanan (film producer), M. Saravanan. The film is based on the legend of Prahlada, a character in ''Bhagavata Purana'' known for his devotion to the Hindu god Vishnu. ''Daasi'' () is a 1952 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced by C. Lakshmi Rajyam under the Rajyam Pictures banner and directed by C. V. Ranganatha Das, while L. V. ''Raksha Rekha'' () is a 1949 Telugu-language swashbuckler film, produced and directed by R. Padmanabhan. Madhavapeddi Satyam
Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. His voice suited artists like S. V. Ranga Rao, Relangi and Ramana Reddy. He also sang for others like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, N.T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya and Padmanabham. In a five-decade long career, he sang numerable songs including popular ones like "Vivaha Bhojanambu" from the film ''Mayabazar'' (1957) for S. V.
