are the deities, divinities, spirits, phenomena or "holy powers", that are venerated in the Shinto religion. They can be elements of the landscape, forces of nature, or beings and the qualities that these beings express; they can also be the spirits of venerated dead people. Kami is a character on ''Takalani Sesame'' and ''Sesame Square'', the respective South Africa, South African and Nigerian versions of the children's television program ''Sesame Street''. In 2002, Sesame Workshop announced that an HIV-positive character would be introduced to ''Takalani Sesame'', the U.S. Agency for International Development–funded South African version of the show. This idea was considered crucial for an area where AIDS is an epidemic. The character's name, Kami, is derived from ''Kamogelo'', which means acceptance or 'a welcoming' in Setswana. Rasu Kami is a small Tripuri village situated on the foot-hills of Boromura hill range in Sadar sub-division of West Tripura, India. It lies 3 km west of Champaknagar from the Assam-Agartala highway and 4 km north of Jirania. The people speak a local language of Kokborok. The population of the village is 60 persons. Khami (also written as ''Khame'', ''Kame'' or ''Kami'') is a ruined city located 22 kilometres west of Bulawayo, in Zimbabwe. It was once the capital of the Kingdom of Butwa of the Torwa dynasty. It is now a national monument, and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. Context The settlement that we see today was a development of the architectural form that emerged at Great Zimbabwe in the 13th century AD and a local Leopard's Kopje culture that built platforms of rough walling on which houses would be constructed.
