Kambakota
Kambakota or Kamakota is a village located in the Central African Republic prefecture of Ouham-Fafa. History In 1985 UNICEF built three wells in Kambota, two of which had broken down as of 2008. In March 2008 around 1,400 displaced people arrived there from other villages. On 1 December 2016 it was reported that Kambakota was under control of MPC. As of October 2018 Kambakota was under control of Anti-balaka The Anti-balaka is an alliance of militia groups based in the Central African Republic in the early 21st century said to be composed primarily of Christians. However, some church leaders have contested the claimed exclusively Christian character .... In October 2020 heavy clashes erupted between Anti-balaka factions in Kambakota. On 26 February 2021 Kambakota was captured by government forces supported by Rwandian military. Batangafo
Batangafo is a town located in the Central African Republic prefecture of Ouham at the confluence of Ouham River and its affluent Fafa. There is an airport in Bafangafo. History In August 2014 heavy clashes erupted in Batangafo between Séléka and Sangaris forces resulting in more than 50 deaths. Central African Patriotic Movement (MPC, french: Mouvement patriotique pour la Centrafrique) is a rebel group in the Central African Republic based in nortwestern part of the country. History MPC was formed in July 2015 by Mahamat Al-Khatim. In October 2016 they were accused in taking part in attack which killed 37 civilians, however Al-Khatim denied these claims. In May 2018 MNLC leader, Ahmat Bahar announced that his group was merging with MPC.
