Kalochori, Thessaloniki
Kalochori ( el, Καλοχώρι) is a village and a community of the Delta municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Echedoros, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 4,672 inhabitants in the village. The community of Kalochori covers an area of 32.127 km2. History In February 2012, it was reported that many historical artifacts had been discovered during an excavation. In September 2016, New Zealanders built a shipping container library for refugees in the area. Kalochori (Greek: Καλοχώρι, before 1926: Δοβρόλιτσα - ''Dovrolitsa''; Macedonian Slavic: Добролишта (Dobrolišta), Bulgarian: Добролища, Добролишча in the Kostur dialect, is a small rural village, part of the municipal unit of Kastoria, Kastoria regional unit, Greece. Kalochori is also located 14 kilometers away from the city of Kastoria and 14 kilometers away from the village of Nestorio. It was a part of the former municipal unit of Mesopotamia. The village has an elevation of 721 meters above sea level. Kalochori ( el, Καλοχώρι) (translates as Good Village), known before 1926 as Glaboftsa (), is a settlement of Central Macedonia in the Serres prefecture. It belongs to the local community of Kastanoussa in the municipality of Sintiki. According to the 2011 census it has a population of 158 inhabitants.
