Kalochori, Thessaloniki
Kalochori ( el, Καλοχώρι) is a village and a community of the Delta municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Echedoros, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 4,672 inhabitants in the village. The community of Kalochori covers an area of 32.127 km2. History In February 2012, it was reported that many historical artifacts had been discovered during an excavation. In September 2016, New Zealanders built a shipping container library for refugees in the area. Kalochori is also located 14 kilometers away from the city of Kastoria and 14 kilometers away from the village of Nestorio. It was a part of the former municipal unit of Mesopotamia. Larissa ( el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Λάρισας) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Thessaly. Its capital is the city of Larissa. Total population 269,151 (2021). Geography Larissa is the second largest regional unit in Greece, exceeded only by Aetolia-Acarnania. It covers about one-third of Thessaly. Kalochori ( el, Καλοχώρι) (translates as Good Village), known before 1926 as Glaboftsa (), is a settlement of Central Macedonia in the Serres prefecture. It belongs to the local community of Kastanoussa in the municipality of Sintiki. According to the 2011 census it has a population of 158 inhabitants.
