Service Reservoir
A reservoir (; from French ''réservoir'' ) is an enlarged lake behind a dam. Such a dam may be either artificial, built to store fresh water or it may be a natural formation. Reservoirs can be created in a number of ways, including controlling a watercourse that drains an existing body of water, interrupting a watercourse to form an embayment within it, through excavation, or building any number of retaining walls or levees. In other contexts, "reservoirs" may refer to storage spaces for various fluids; they may hold liquids or gasses, including hydrocarbons. ''Tank reservoirs'' store these in ground-level, elevated, or buried tanks. Tank reservoirs for water are also called cisterns. Most underground reservoirs are used to store liquids, principally either water or petroleum. Types Dammed valleys Dammed reservoirs are artificial lakes created and controlled by a dam constructed across a valley, and rely on the natural topography to provide most of the basin of the ...

The hill stands at an altitude of 164 metres (538 ft) above sea level, making it the highest natural peak in the country. The highest ''point'' in Singapore, however, is the 284 metre Guoco Tower, one of numerous buildings taller than the hill. The summit, which features a pair of 60 m (200 ft) VHF steel lattice radio masts built in the 1960s, is accessible by several walking trails and a paved maintenance road not open to the public. The hill is now protected as part of the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, which has been classified as an ASEAN Heritage Park. Climate Bukit Timah Hill features a tropical rainforest climate ( Köppen ''Af'') and has a mix of both wet and dry seasons. Due to its moderate elevation, the weather is much cooler than the rest of Singapore and strong winds commonly occur at the peak. The daily temperature range is between ...

Construction of the expressway began in 1983 and it was built in two stages, the first stage from Woodlands to Mandai Road and the second from Mandai Road to the Pan-Island Expressway. Due to the hilly nature of the Bukit Timah area the second stage of the expressway went through, explosives were used to clear the area for construction. During the construction, the new road, Bukit Panjang Road was opened from BKE all the way to Woodlands Road, and new interchanges at Mandai Road and Woodlands Road were also added as well. Kampong roads were demolished such as Jalan Kwok Min, Lorong Kingkit and Lorong Garpu. The small section of Jalan Kwok Min remains and Singapore Armed Fo ...

Planning Areas Of Singapore
Planning areas, also known as DGP areas or DGP zones, are the main urban planning and census divisions of Singapore delineated by the Urban Redevelopment Authority. There are a total of 55 of these areas, organised into Regions of Singapore, five regions. A Development Guide Plan is then drawn up for each planning area, providing for detailed planning guidelines for every individual plot of land throughout the country. The planning areas were first introduced in the early 1990s after the release of the 1991 Concept Plan. Since the implementation of these boundaries, other government ministries and departments have also increasingly adopted these boundaries for their administrative purposes. For example, the Statistics Department of Singapore published its 2000 census data based on planning area boundaries for the first time, compared to using census divisions based on Constituencies of Singapore, electoral boundaries for previous exercises. The Singapore Police Force's (SPF) neigh ...
