Kaleo Wassman
Kaleo Wassman (born January 6, 1978) is an American musician who serves as the lead singer and guitarist of reggae, dub bands Pepper and Sabotage Soundsystem. Biography Early life Wassman was born in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 1996, he started working with fellow bandmembers and bassist Brett Bollinger and Yesod Williams. The three of them have been friends since high school and started the band shortly after graduating. Kaleo said in an interview, "Everyone went to college and we went to the bars...." Career with Pepper In 1999, his newly formed band, with friends Bret Bollinger and Yesod Williams, relocated to SoCal to pursue their interest in reggae music and get signed by a major label. Kailua-Kona is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Hawaii County, Hawaii, Hawaii County, Hawaii, United States.
