Kaleem Shaukat
Vice Admiral Kaleem Shaukat ( ur, ) is a former Pakistani naval officer and vice admiral in the Pakistan Navy, served as the vice chief of naval staff from 2017 to November 2019. Kaleem retired from the naval uniform service in 2019 after succeeding Fayyaz Gilani as VCNS. He also served as Rector Bahria University . Biography Kaleem Shaukat joined the Pakistan Navy in 1980, and was directed to attend the Britannia Royal Naval College in England where he did his initial military training as a surface officer and passed out in 1982. He gained commissioned as Sub-Lieutenant and served as an executive officer in the surface warship. He is a graduate of the National Defence University in Islamabad, and Armed Forces College in Turkey. Capt. Vice Admiral (Pakistan)
Vice Admiral (abbreviated as VADM) is a three-star commissioned armed flag officer rank in the Pakistan Navy, coast guards, and marines awarded by the Government of Pakistan to rear admirals as a position advancement in uniformed service. It is the second-highest rank in Pakistan armed services with a NATO code of OF-8, and while it is worn on epaulettes with a three-star insignia, it ranks above two-star rank Rear Admiral and below four-star rank Admiral. Warship
A warship or combatant ship is a naval ship that is built and primarily intended for naval warfare. Usually they belong to the armed forces of a state. Passing out is the completion of a course by military or other service personnel or the graduation from a college, largely in Commonwealth nations. Soldiers sometimes take part in a passing out parade upon completion of a basic training course.
