Kajaanin Haka
Kajaanin Haka (abbreviated KajHa) is a football club from Kajaani in Finland. The club was formed in 1953 and their home ground is at the Kajaanin liikuntapuisto. The men's football first team currently plays in the Kolmonen (Third Division). The Chairman of KajHa is Jarmo Anttonen. Background KajHa was founded on 15 March 1953 and in the early years the club was known as Hevossuon Haka. The change to the current name was made on 23 January 1963. Originally Haka was a typical village club, which in addition to football ran sections providing for sports of athletics, skiing, and volleyball. Specialisation in football occurred in the early 1960s and has remained the popular activity. There are currently 245 registered players and the number is growing all the time. The club's first taste of success was in 1968 when they played one season in the Suomisarjaa (Finland League) which at that time was the second tier of Finnish football. Kajaani
Kajaani (; sv, Kajana) is the most populous town and the capital of the Kainuu Region of Finland. It is located southeast of Lake Oulu (Oulujärvi), which drains into the Gulf of Bothnia through the Oulu River (Oulujoki). As of , it had a population of . The town was founded in the 17th century, fueled by the growth of the tar industry, but it was preceded by a long history of settlements. During the Great Northern War it succumbed to Russian forces, who ruined Kajaani Castle in 1716. Kainuu ( sv, Kajanaland) is one of the 19 regions of Finland (''maakunta'' / ''landskap''). Kainuu borders the regions of North Ostrobothnia, North Savo and North Karelia. Kuhmo (known as ''Kuhmoniemi'' until 1937) is a town and a municipality in Finland and is located at the south-eastern corner of the Kainuu region. Puolanka ( sv, Puolanka, also ) is a municipality in Finland located in the Kainuu region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. History The first permanent settlers in Puolanka came in the 1550s. The municipality of Puolanka was established in the year of 1867. Paltamo ( sv, Paltamo, also ) is a municipality of Finland. It is part of the Kainuu region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . There are two built-up areas in the municipality: Kontiomäki and Paltamo. Kontiomäki has about 600 inhabitants. It is from Paltamo to Kajaani and to Oulu. The Finnish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Finland. The three highest levels are managed by the Finnish FA while the other leagues are managed by the regional departments of the FA.
