Kaizoku-Ban
''Kaizoku-Ban'' is a live EP by German heavy metal band Accept. It was recorded in Nagoya, Japan, on 19 September 1985, and released on vinyl the same year. It was later re-released as ''Live in Japan'' in 1992. Though this is an official release, the title (海賊版) translates as "Pirate Edition" or "Bootleg". The cassette tape version of this release had the unusual feature of having all six songs recorded on both sides. Because of the duration of the six songs, it was feasible to release it this way. All six songs are available as bonus tracks on the 2002 BMG remasters of ''Balls to the Wall'', ''Metal Heart'', and '' Russian Roulette''. Track listing Music and lyrics by Accept and Deaffy. Metal Heart
''Metal Heart'' is the sixth studio album by German heavy metal music, heavy metal band Accept (band), Accept, released in 1985. Although the group had recorded before at Dierks-Studios, this was the first album produced by Dieter Dierks himself. It marked the return of guitarist Jörg Fischer after a two year absence, with Herman Frank having been his replacement. This album was a cautious attempt to crack the lucrative American market with more accessible songcraft and emphasis on hooks and melodies. Although critically panned at the time, today ''Metal Heart'' is often considered by fans as one of the band's best records. It contains several of their classic songs such as "Metal Heart" and "Living for Tonite". The band also makes a detour into jazz rock, jazz metal territory with the unusual song "Teach Us to Survive". ''Russian Roulette'' is the seventh studio album by German heavy metal music, heavy metal band Accept (band), Accept, released in 1986. It was again recorded at Dierks-Studios, but the band chose to self-produce rather than bring back Dieter Dierks as record producer, producer. It would be the last Accept album to feature Udo Dirkschneider as lead vocalist until the 1993 reunion album ''Objection Overruled (album), Objection Overruled''. The album returns Accept to the darker, heavier sound of releases prior to the more commercial-sounding predecessor ''Metal Heart''. ''Balls to the Wall'' is the fifth studio album by German heavy metal band Accept. European label Lark Records released the album in December 1983, but its United States release was delayed until a month later in January 1984 as to not compete with the band's then-current album ''Restless and Wild'', which had arrived in the US in early 1983. Stefan Kaufmann (born 4 August 1960) is a German drummer and guitarist, best known as a member of the heavy metal bands Accept and U.D.O. Career He joined Accept as drummer early enough to appear on the cover photos for their debut album, but too late to record the drums for the album (that was done by Frank Friedrich). Udo Dirkschneider (born 6 April 1952) is a German singer and songwriter who rose to fame with German heavy metal band Accept. After leaving the band in 1987, he formed U.D.O., with which he has also enjoyed commercial success. Biography Former Accept and current U.D.O. lead singer Udo Dirkschneider has a long career spawning almost five decades that helped to shape German heavy metal. His unique and raspy voice approach and, his taste for huge choruses made big part of Accept's appeal and made him the one of most recognizable characters in the heavy metal history. In November 2011, Dirkschneider's son Sven supported U.D.O. on a date in Germany and became a permanent member of his father's band in February 2015. Accept are a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, formed in 1976 by guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and former members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals) and Peter Baltes (bass). Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 1960s, when the band got its start under the name Band X. Accept's lineup has changed over the years, which has included different singers, guitarists, bassists and drummers. Jörg Fischer (born 4 July 1957) is a German guitar player, primarily known for his work with the German band Accept. He joined the band at the end of the recording sessions for their self-titled debut and plays on the albums ''I'm a Rebel'' and ''Breaker'' until leaving before recording began for the fourth album ''Restless and Wild''. After the recording of ''Balls to the Wall'' was completed he was asked to rejoin the band. Fischer appears on the albums ''Metal Heart'' and '' Russian Roulette''. By this time his role had diminished mainly to rhythm guitarist, although he is featured as lead guitarist on the songs "Living for Tonite", "Wrong Is Right', "Aiming High", "Another Second to Be" and "Lay Down the Law" (performed by Accept on UDO's ''Animal House'' album). Fischer left the band again around 1988.
