Kailali Multiple Campus
Kailali Multiple Campus ( ne, कैलाली बहुमुखी क्याम्पस) is one of the constituent campuses of Far-western University located in Dhangadi of western Nepal. The campus was established in 1980 as a constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University, however the affiliation was changed in 2021 based on government decision. The campus is recognized by University Grants Commission (Nepal), University Grants Commission since . History In the past, Kailali District was considered as one of the most underdeveloped regions of Nepal which forced students to go to Kathmandu or to India for higher studies. To avoid such a situation, the local people established Kailali Commerce Campus. The campus was later renamed Kailali Multiple Campus and was affiliated with Tribhuvan University. Far-western University
Far Western University is a university in Nepal, located in Mahendranagar, Mahakali, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur District, Kanchanpur. It was established on August 2010 (2067 Vikram Samvat, BS) by the Act of the Constituent Assembly by the Government of Nepal. Dhangadi
Dhangadhi ( ne, धनगढी ) is a sub-metropolitan city and the district headquarters of Kailali District in Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal.Dhangadhi is also the temporary capital of Sudurpashchim Province. It shares a border with Uttar Pradesh, India in the south, Godawari and Gauriganga Municipality in the North, Kailari Rural Municipality in the east and Kanchanpur District in the west. Tribhuvan University
Tribhuvan University (TU; ne, त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालय) is a public university located in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. Established in 1959, TU is the oldest university in Nepal. In terms of enrollment, it is the 12th largest university in the world. The college offers 1000 undergraduate and 500 postgraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines. University Grants Commission (Nepal)
University Grants Commission (विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग) is an autonomous government body of Nepal formed under the jurisdiction of UGC Act approved by the parliament of Nepal on 2 November 1993. UGC became functional in 1994 with the opening of its office at Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. The main reason to establish UGC is to implement the concept of multiple universities in Nepal. Before UGC's establishment only Tribhuwan University looked after the higher education.
