Kabiru Ado Lakwaya is a Nigerian politician who is an Executive Council of Kano State member, and is serving as a Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development. Early life Kabiru Ado was born in Lakwaya Ward of Gwarzo local government area of Kano State. Political career Lakwaya was a students leader, he was the National Senate President of the National Association of Kano State Student (NAKSS) while he was an undergraduate at Usman Danfodio University Sokoto. Before his appointment as a Commissioner, Lakwaya was the Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria Kano State Branch. Kano (Ajami: كانو) is a city in northern Nigeria and the capital of Kano State. National Youth Council Of Nigeria
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) was established in 1964. It is charged with the responsibility of policy formulation and implementation on issues relating to youth development in Nigeria. It is the umbrella body and the mouthpiece of the Nigerian Youths. It was established and given legal recognition in 1990. The NYCN has three branches; the National, Zonal and the State chapters. The NYCN is also affiliated to the World Assembly of Youth, Pan-African Youth Union. It has the Ministry for Youth and Sports Development as its supervisory body. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR (born 25 December 1949) is a Nigerian politician who is currently serving as the Governor of Kano State. He took over office in 2015. He previously served as Rabiu Kwankwaso's deputy governor twice, between 1999 to 2003 and 2011 to 2015. Background Ganduje was born in 1949 to a Fulani family in the village of Ganduje, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State. He began his early education in a Qur'anic and Islamiyya school at his village, where he was trained in Islamic knowledge. Later, he moved to the headquarters of his local government where he attended Dawakin Tofa Primary School from 1956 to 1963.
