Kabinakagami Lake
Kabinakagami Lake is a lake in the Unorganized North Part of Algoma District in northeastern Ontario, Canada. Shows the lake highlighted against a map. The lake is on the Kabinakagami River and is part of the James Bay drainage basin. It is located northwest of the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve, and about southwest of the settlement of Oba and southwest of the town of Hearst. Hydrology The primary inflows are the Kabinakagami River at Little Kaby Bay at the southwest, and the Oba River at the east of the lake. There are a number of secondary inflows. Left tributaries, clockwise from the Kabinakagami River inflow to the Kabinakagami River outflow, are Bear Creek at the southwest near Picard's Point; Stoney Creek at the top of Boot Bay at the west; and Fairy Creek at the west. Unorganized North Algoma District is an unorganized area in northeastern Ontario, Canada, comprising all areas in Algoma District, north of the Sault Ste. Marie to Elliot Lake corridor, which are not part of an incorporated municipality or a First Nation. It covers of land, and had a population of 6050 in 2021. Moose River (Ontario)
The Moose River is a river in the Hudson Plains ecozone of northern Ontario, Canada. The river flows 100 km northeast from the confluence of the Mattagami and Missinaibi Rivers into James Bay. Its drainage basin is and it has a mean discharge rate of . Its full length is if counted from the head of the Mattagami River. This river formed part of the water route to Lake Superior in the days of the fur trade. Missinaibi River
The Missinaibi River is a river in northern Ontario, Canada, which flows northeast from Missinaibi Lake, north of Chapleau, and empties into the Moose River, which drains into James Bay. This river (including Missinaibi Lake and Moose River to James Bay) is in length. It is one of the longest free-flowing and undeveloped rivers in Ontario. The river's name (masinâpôy sîpiy, ᒪᓯᓈᐴᔾ ᓰᐱᔾ) means "pictured waters" in the Cree language which is thought to refer to the pictographs found on rock faces along the river. At Thunderhouse Falls, which is actually a chain of relatively small waterfalls connected by violent rapids, the river drops 40 metres, part of its descent from the Canadian Shield to the Hudson Bay Lowlands. Esnagi Lake
Esnagi Lake is a large V-shaped lake in the Unorganized North part of Algoma District, Ontario, Canada. Part of the Great Lakes Basin, it is about long and wide and lies at an elevation of , with the "V" on its side and the apex facing west. The primary inflows are the Magpie River from Mosambik Lake at the north end of the lake, Tripoli Creek on the west side, and other unnamed creeks. The primary outflow is also the Magpie River, which flows downstream from the south end of the lake at the east switch of the siding at Swanson on the Canadian Pacific Railway transcontinental mainline, and eventually into Lake Superior. The lake is home to three fishing lodges, two outpost cottages and two private cottages accessible only by rail or float plane.
