Kaaron Warren
Kaaron Warren is an Australian author of horror, science fiction, and fantasy short stories and novels. She is the author of the short story collections ''Through Splintered Walls'', ''The Grinding House'', and ''Dead Sea Fruit''. Her short stories have won Australian Shadows Awards, Ditmar Awards and Aurealis Awards. Retrieved 17 February 2008. Her four novels, are '' Slights'', ''Walking the Tree'' and ''Mistification'' (published by Angry Robot Books) and ''The Grief Hole'' (published by IFWG). Printed in 2003 and edited by Michael Barry, it contains stories from several Australian speculative fiction authors. Background ''Elsewhere'' was first published in Australia in October 2003 by CSFG Publishing. It was a short-list nominee for the 2004 Ditmar Award for best collected work but lost to ''Agog! Terrific Tales'', edited by Cat Sparks. ''Elsewhere'' features 26 stories by 26 authors, with two of the stories featured receiving nominations. History The first issue of ''Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine'' was released in June 2002 as a slightly larger than digest size print magazine. Maxine McArthur
Maxine McArthur is an Australian writer of science fiction. Biography McArthur spent 16 years living in Japan but returned to live in Canberra in 1996. In 1999 McArthur's first book was released in Australia, entitled ''Time Future''. It won the 1999 George Turner Award and finished ninth in 2000 Locus Awards for best first novel. In 2002 she released the sequel to her first novel entitled ''Time Past'' which was a short-list nominee for the 2003 Ditmar Award for best Australian novel. In 2004 her third novel ''Less Than Human (novel), Less Than Human'' won the 2004 Aurealis Award for Aurealis Award for best science fiction novel, best science fiction novel which also was a short-list nominee for the 2005 Ditmar Award for best novel.
