Maputo (), formerly named Lourenço Marques until 1976, is the Capital city, capital, and largest city of Mozambique. A ''bairro'' () is a Portuguese language, Portuguese word for a Quarter (urban subdivision), quarter or a neighborhood or, sometimes, a district which is within a city or town. Mozambique
