KT (film)
''KT'' is a 2002 Japanese-South Korean film directed by Junji Sakamoto with a screenplay by Haruhiko Arai. It is based on the kidnapping of Kim Dae-jung by agents of Park Chung-hee in August 1973 while on a trip to Tokyo. He was released in Seoul after five days. The title KT means Killing the Target. Plot The story is centered on Masuo Tomita, a Japanese intelligence officer who helped arrange for South Korean agents to kidnap and try to kill Park Chung-hee's enemy Kim Dae-jung, who was in exile in Tokyo. Junji Sakamoto
is a Japanese film director. Career After working as a set assistant or assistant director under such filmmakers as Sogo Ishii and Kazuyuki Izutsu, he made his directorial debut in 1989 with '' Dotsuitarunen'' (earning the Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award) and followed it up with another boxing film, ''Tekken'', in 1990. Sakamoto became known for action films focusing on the conflicts between male characters, such as '' Tokarefu'' and '' New Battles Without Honor and Humanity'', but has also made films centered on female characters such as ''Face'' and ''Awakening''. Kyoko Enami
was a Japanese film and television actress. Career Enami was the daughter of the actress Kazuko Enami. She joined the Daiei Film studio in 1959 and made her screen debut in 1960 with ''Ashita kara otona da''. Her first starring role as Noboriryū no Ogin in ''Onna no toba'' (1966) was a major hit, and developed into the "Woman Gambler" series that totaled 17 films. She also had serious roles, and won the best actress award from Kinema Junpo for '' Tsugaru Jongarabushi'' (1973). She died rather suddenly at a Tokyo hospital on 27 October 2018 of pulmonary emphysema, having performed on a radio drama only five days before. (24 October 1931 – 14 March 2014) was a Japanese actor who worked on stage, film, and television from the 1950s to the 2010s. Career and death Born in Tokyo, Utsui entered the Haiyūza theatre troupe in 1952 and was soon selected to star in the film ''Seishun no izumi'' that was produced by Haiyūza.
