Gō Rijū
is a Japanese film director and actor. Career Rijū started making 8mm films in high school, and his ''Kyōkun I'' earned a spot at the 1980 Pia Film Festival. In 1981, he made his acting debut with a starring role in the TBS drama ''Fubo no gosan''. The same year, he participated in the production of Kihachi Okamoto's ''At This Late Date, the Charleston,'' not only starring, but also co-authoring the script and serving as assistant director. As an actor, he has appeared in films directed by Juzo Itami, Yoichi Sai, Kaizo Hayashi, and Shinji Aoyama; as well as TV dramas such as ''Kinpachi-sensei'' and ''Hanzawa Naoki''. As a director, his film ''Elephant Song (1994 film), Elephant Song'' won the NETPAC Award at the 1995 Berlin Film Festival. ''KT'' is a 2002 Japanese-South Korean film directed by Junji Sakamoto with a screenplay by Haruhiko Arai. Maki Yasuomi
was a Japanese samurai of the late Edo period, who served as a retainer of the Arima clan of Kurume Domain, Kurume in northern Kyūshū. He was also a Shinto priest of the Kurume Suitengū, Suitengū shrine in Kurume. Maki, also known by his court title of or simply , was a student of the Mito school's ''sonnō-jōi'' ideology, and in particular, Aizawa Seishisai's philosophy. Its official English title is ''The Trusted Confidant''. Toyotomi Hideyori
was the son and designated successor of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the general who first united all of Japan. His mother, Yodo-dono, was the niece of Oda Nobunaga. Early life Born in 1593, he was Hideyoshi's second son. The birth of Hideyori created a potential succession problem. To avoid it, Hideyoshi exiled his nephew and heir Hidetsugu to Mount Kōya and then ordered him to commit suicide in August 1595. Hidetsugu's family members who did not follow his example were then murdered in Kyoto, including 31 women and several children and also Mogami Yoshiaki's daughter. Hideyoshi refused to spare the life of Yoshiaki's daughter, who had only just arrived in Kyoto to become Hidetsugu's concubine and had not yet even met her future husband.
